REFUGE, CONCERTO FOR CELLO AND ORCHESTRA

Melodic and rooted in the traditions of the past, the concerto was composed during lockdown at the height of the Covid  pandemic as a meditation on the joys and fragility of life. It was first performed at the National Concert Hall, Dublin on St Patrick's Day 2023 by cello soloist Sinéad O'Halloran with the NSO conducted by David Brophy.

The concert was broadcast live on RTE Lyric FM, and streamed. It is available on Youtube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2K3b-d5l26g
