Shaun Davey worked for many years with uilleann piper Liam O'Flynn. Their collaboration led to the first fully-integrated soloist's part for a traditional musician and instrument within an orchestral composition. He also enjoys a lifelong musical partnership with his wife, Rita Connolly, a singer with a natural style for whom he has written many songs, hymns and anthems. In addition he has enjoyed successful collaborations with percussionist Noel Eccles, composer cellist and piper Neil Martin, Martín O'Connor, Gerry O'Beirne, Seamus Begley, Breanndan Ó Beaglaioch, Nollaig Casey, Iarla Ó Lionaird, Carlos Nunez, Sean Keane, John MacSherry, Liam Ó Maonlai, Eilís Kennedy, Edelmiro Fernandez, Terry Tully, Lawrence Courtney, Eóin Ó Beaglaioch, Donal Lunny, Peter Browne, The Voice Squad, and most recently with uilleann piper, Mark Redmond. Conductors he has worked with include David Brophy, Gearóid Grant, Gavin Maloney, Gareth Hudson, Fiachra Trench, Noel Kelehan, Proinsias O'Duinn, Louis Dumontier, Guy Berrier, Iain Sutherland, En Shao, Sir Alexander Gibson, Simon Streatfield, John Woolf.
